One Punch Man Is Getting A Live Action Hollywood Film
One Punch Man is one of the most popular anime shows around, and it’s about to get even bigger with a live action Hollywood film adaptation. The news was announced today by Sony Pictures, who have acquired the rights to produce the movie.
This isn’t the first time that One Punch Man has been adapted for live action, as there was a 2016 Chinese live action film that was not well received by fans. It’s safe to say that Sony will be under a lot of pressure to get this adaptation right, but with the right team in place, we could be looking at one of the most faithful live action anime adaptations ever made.
What do you think about One Punch Man getting a live action Hollywood film? Are you excited for it, or would you rather see the anime stay animated? Let us know in the comments!
One Punch Man is set in a world where superheroes are commonplace, and follows the story of Saitama, a superhero who can defeat any opponent with a single punch. The anime has been praised for its unique take on the superhero genre, and its popularity has led to it being adapted into several other mediums, such as video games and manga.
With a Hollywood live action adaptation on the way, it’s clear that One Punch Man is only going to continue to grow in popularity. We can’t wait to see what Sony Pictures does with the property, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest news about the movie as it develops.
One Punch Man live-action movie will be directed by Fast and Furious’ Justin Lin
Saitama from One Punch Man is prepared to embark on the bigger screen after becoming a huge success in the anime world. The last Fast & Furious filmmaker, Justin Lin, is helming the live-action One Punch Man film, according to a report by Deadline.
Shueisha, the publisher of One Punch Man, sold the film rights to Sony Pictures. The live-action movie will be produced by Arad Productions, who have previously worked on movies like Venom, Ghost in the Shell, Iron Man, Spider-Man, and X-Men.
Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, who have previously worked on Jumanji: The Next Level and Venom, are penning the script for the upcoming One Punch Man film. The movie is expected to start shooting at the end of the year. Justin Lin, the film’s producer and director, is well-known for having worked on several installments of the renowned Fast and Furious series. Due to creative disputes with Vin Diesel, he recently resigned as director of the Fast and Furious.
Fans are curious to learn who will play Saitama, their favorite bald super hero, but there is no information on the cast as of yet. It should be noted that Hollywood’s attempts to adapt anime into live action have not been very successful thus far. Fans gave some live-action movies, such as Death Note and Dragon Ball Evolution, lower than average ratings.
One Punch Man depicts the tale of Saitama, a regular guy who gains incredible power by performing 100 sit-ups, 100 push-ups, and a daily 10 km run. He lost his hair, but he gained the strength to one-punch every adversary.
The One Punch Man franchise was started in 2009 by the artist ONE as an online comic. In 2012, Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump website began publishing a Yusuke Murata manga series. As of June 2022, the manga series has been collected into 26 volumes. The Studio Mad House created an anime adaptation, and the first season was made available in October 2015. J.C. Staff produced the second season, which debuted in October 2019. Season 3 has not yet received any announcements.

As Saitama picks up on the constant spring of his onslaught, Garou has no choice but to continue altering his body. Garou pushes Saitama to kill him in order to end the conflict, but he declines and instead demands a meeting.
The Earth’s atmosphere, magnetic field, and gravitational pull are all warped, as Blasting and his companions notice. When the Blast’s detonation showed the vision of Earth in their eyes, they saw the Earth was full. His three friends are depicted: a witch-like woman, an alien who resembles Boros, and a masculine beast with a lion’s head. They all raced someplace, along with Blast, to prevent “God” from exceeding the mark of majesty. Garou’s strike has no effect on Saitama, who responds by chaining standard punches together, shattering both of Garou’s arms and leaving the Hero Hunter with only two arms.
Garou recalls Sage Centipede’s comments in this situation and deduces that the monster was referring to Saitama, not himself, as the “disgusting fist.” Garou is sent flying down multiple mountains and into a big lake by Saitama’s strong punch. When Garou finally refuses to attack Saitama and stands up, he hits him, but the hero counters with a fist. After that, he requests that Caped Baldy put an end to his life. In contrast, Saitama just says that he is willing to listen to Garou and hero stories and leads him to a nearby apartment. They’re both about to say something in the area.
